Michael James Photo Studio

in Portfolio, by Stephanie

Michael was referred to me by another client. He had purchased a flash website that included a wordpress install, but he need the wordpress themed to match his site. He also wanted his blog posts moved from Blogger to the new WordPress install. I moved the posts over for him and created a theme to match his flash site. I believe he has since moved on to another theme for his blog, but I love the simplicity of this theme enough to share it. I loved the flow from his flash site to the blog maintaining the same look.

Buy Joe’s Pools

in Portfolio, by Stephanie

Shannon was a previous client of mine, so when her husband needed a website for his pool business, she knew exactly where to turn! He already had business cards in use, so I took that and created a site to match. The site was done in WordPress to allow Shannon to update it as needed without needing to rely on me. As much as I love helping my clients, I also like to give them the ability to do things without me if they desire. I stuck with the standard WordPress theme which allows her to switch out the header image as she desires. The simply logo was made the complement the colors used in the site. We’re still working on the photo gallery portion, but we should have that done pretty soon.

One client, Two sites.

in Portfolio, Themes, Wordpress, by Stephanie

I had previously done this first site, boudoirphotographynetwork.com, for Robin, but she quickly outgrew it. I knew her site had potential! We had to find a new solution and we did, we used Classipress. Classipress was originally written as a classifieds theme for WordPress. With some heavy editing, I was able to manipulate some things to do pretty much what she needed. The new site is up, running and growing daily. Ironically, Appthemes is working on a business directory theme with no set release date.

Upon the completion of Boudoir Photography Network, Robin wanted to start a similar site themed toward children’s photographers, childrensphotographynetwork.com. Another GREAT idea! We used the same platform and layout, just a change of colors, this helped carry the branding across the sites and connect the two. There are some very talented photographers out there! I really enjoyed working both of these sites, often getting sidetracked with the wonderful photography. If you need a photographer, this is where you’ll find the best of the best. If you or someone you know does photography, this is the place to be listed!
