AI Mission Statement

I believe building and managing your website is a joint effort between the two of us.

While I do rely on AI in my business, it does not replace my experience, judgement or creativity or connection. AI supports my process, but final decisions are made by me.

How I’m Using AI

AI is part of my workflow. It allows me to work faster while not missing steps.

I use AI to:

• Research, outline and rough draft blog posts, emails, social media posts and website copy
• SEO research and compile metadata information
• Develop code and troubleshoot issues
• Create design concepts, wireframes and inspiration
• Create initial graphics and/or images
• Compile notes, documentation and summaries
• Organize my workflows and automations
• Catch typos and grammatical errors in copy
• Review copy for gaps and missing information

I may use information from your website strategy to mock up a concept for inspiration. The concept is a starting point; it will never be used as-is. I create the final layout, visuals, functionality and implementation.

I may use AI to create a rough draft of copy or website elements. Nothing from AI gets passed directly to you or your website without my review and edits. I always check for accuracy and edit for quality and consistency. You are also responsible for approving all final copy, imagery and your entire website.

The AI Tools I Use

Claude / ChatGPT – draft and refine copy, summarize information, reviewe code, analyze technical problems

Perplexity – research and outline drafts

Gemini – analyze notes and meeting summaries, organize documents

Tactiq – take notes during webinars and calls, create transcripts of meetings

Midjourney / Ideogram / Gemini – image and asset creation

I may also use other AI features built into various tools. Due to the constant development of AI and its abilities, this list may not be comprehensive. Minor and one-off tools may not be listed.

What AI Does Not Do Here

AI does not design or build your website. It does not determine your website strategy – that’s what you and I do together.

All major decisions regarding your project are made by me, based upon my experience and knowledge. AI does not know you, I do.

Human Review

AI can make mistakes. I do not treat AI output as fact. I remain fully responsible for:

• Understanding you and your business
• Creating the design
• Making development decisions
• Reviewing and refining AI-assisted assets
• Communicating and collaborating with you
• Delivering the final result

AI is a support, but I am the one you are working with and I am the one creating and delivering your project.

Confidentiality & Data Privacy

Your information is never used to train AI. I have disabled all settings that allow AI tools to train on the data I enter. I review these settings periodically to ensure they have not changed.

I may submit information you share with me to selected AI tools to assist me in completing your project. This includes parts of your brand or website strategy, your copy, content and requirements.

I will never knowingly submit your PII (personally identifiable information) or sensitive information to any AI tool. Before sharing any information, all names and identifying information are removed. This includes:

• Name, email, phone number or other contact information
• Passwords, login credentials
• Financial or payment information
• Health, legal or other sensitive information
• Private user data

Client AI Policy

You may pass AI-generated or AI-assisted assets to me. I only ask that you disclose that it is AI generated and give me permission to edit, revise or adapt as needed.

You are responsible for confirming you have the right to anything, AI generated or not, that you provide to me. I cannot guarantee that assets supplied by you will qualify for copyright or other intellectual-property protection.

I will recommend changes and improvements to supplied assets if I believe they may be cause for concern due to quality, usability, accessibility, licensing or legal compliance.

Protecting My Original Work

You need my permission before uploading any of my original, completed work to any AI system in order to generate variations or replacement work without my permission. That includes website design, layout, strategy, copy, concept, code or other assets passed to you.

This protects the integrity of my work. Permission granted may include specific limitations or usage instructions.

Transparency

This policy shares how AI fits into my workflow. I do not itemize or share each search, edit or task that AI assists me with. You may ask me about my AI usage at any time.

Because I rely on AI as part of my daily workflow, I do not agree to completely AI-free projects. I will agree to limit AI usage per your request with the understanding that it may affect delivery timelines.

AI tools and practices change constantly. I may update this policy as my usage evolves.
