Looking for a designer that just gets it?

That’d be me. I know what it’s like getting started, I know what it’s like to grow a business. I’ve been doing this for 20 years, that’s twenty years of experience and twenty years of BTDT. I’ve learned how to understand the current needs and anticipate the growth ahead. I’ve helped clients from all levels of tech experience and I’ll handle the parts you aren’t prepared for. At the end of the day, I know the tech, you know your business and together, we get you there.

TL;DR You want a web designer that handles the techy parts and hands you a finished website, and support, when it’s done.

Before You Hire a Web Designer

When it comes to finding a web designer, you want one that ticks the important boxes. Not sure what to look for in a web designer? Here’s a short list:

Client Love

Real businesses. Real growth.

Long-term partnerships friendships are totally normal around. Katie and Suzanne agree.

Client for 19 years

Katie

Started with a simple ask: swap a few homepage images. Today, I manage seven of Katie’s websites and I run her entire preset shop.

Katie took a part-time photography side hustle to a full-time brand, bought a studio, open three preset shops, and added a few associate photographers along the way.

Business pivot? No biggie

Suzanne

I built Suzanne’s first website for her photography business. When she realized her true calling was becoming a doula, I transitioned her site to cover both, without starting over.

Suzanne has gone on to build a doula team with others in her area and I manage both sites for her.

Hi, I'm Stephanie

I have 20+ years of experience building and maintaining websites, mostly for female entrepreneurs. I guide you through the process start to finish, handling the tech issues along the way. When the project ends, I’m still an email away when problems arise or content needs edited.

Common Questions

Can you recommend a web designer for female entrepreneurs?

I specialize in women-owned service businesses. Coaches, photographers, online educators, doulas, makeup artists, shop owners, the list goes on and on. My work is built on trust and expertise, just like yours. I’m not an agency, I’m going to hand you off to anyone else [well, unless you want me to]. If we’re not a fit, I’m happy to give you a few contacts because finding the right web designer is important to your business success.

Well, what’s your budget and timeline? I’ll always suggest a custom build if it fits where you are at the moment. It’s built around you instead of you trying to squeeze into a template. With a custom build, we can make sure each section fits your content rather than trying to fit your content into the box.

Don’t get me wrong, templates have their place. If you’re just starting out and you’re not sure what you need, or whether your business is going to work out, save some money, get a template. Get something up and start working on your SEO. But, if you’re serious and you’re ready to invest, let’s get something custom done.

It’s like Cinderella and the glass slipper. It’s not terrible to be a step-sister and try the shoe on. But if you really want it to fit, custom is the way to go. Be Cinderella whenever you can.

Common sides are outdated design that no longer reflects your business, steady traffic with few conversions, but the biggest flag- hesitating to share your own link.

Always, every time. I won’t buy a domain name for you, you choose your domain provider and make that purchase. Your website will be in your name, not mine. I’m happy to offer some recommendations and host it for you once it’s set up. At the end of the project, you get full access. Locking you out is something I have never considered. It’s your business and your website, I’m just here to help.

Honestly, it varies. It’s hard to give an exact time frame without details. I generally ask for 4-6 weeks to complete a website, this timeline may move faster or slower based upon us both completing our homework on time. Faster, template-based options are also available if you need to launch quickly.
