Homepage Health Check

$57

I'll open your homepage cold, the way a stranger would, and record exactly what's working and what's getting in the way. You get a video and your top three fixes in three business days.

I only accept 5 per week. Check back weekly if all slots are taken.

Homepage Health Check

You can't see your own homepage.

It’s not your fault, it’s just true. You wrote the words, so you know what they mean. You picked the photo, so you know why it’s there. You built the menu, so you know where everything lives.

Your next client knows none of that. She lands on your homepage and gives you three seconds. At that point she decides whether to keep reading based on whether she can answer three questions.

What is this. Is it for me. What do I do next.

Most homepages answer one of them, usually the first and usually not clearly.

I’ll be the stranger.

You send me your URL. I open your homepage with no context and no background on your or your business. Exactly how your next new client will see it. Then I record what happens. Where does my eye go first? What did I understand?  What was confusing? Where would have left? Or, would I have kept scrolling? Then I tell you what I’d change and why.

No call. No access to your site. Nothing to install.

What you get:

What I'm looking at:

If you've got a homepage you've stopped seeing clearly, this is for you!

It works whether your site is brand new or five years old, and whether you built it yourself or paid someone else to.

You also get a score. Clarity, calls to action, and mobile, get scored on a scale up to 10 (4 points each). Ten and up means it’s working, seven to nine means a few gaps, under seven means the message isn’t landing yet. It gives you a number to move.

One homepage. No call required.

because I don't want to be on a call either

Only five a week, so everyone gets real attention, no AI. If the spots are gone, check back next month.

questions & answers

A few things worth saying

What if I'm not on WordPress?

Doesn't matter. Squarespace, Showit, Wix, all fine. I'm reviewing the homepage, not the platform.

This is your homepage only.

One page, done properly. If you want more pages looked at, send me a note and we'll work it out.

Do you need access to my site?

Nope. I only need your URL. Nothing to install, nothing to share, no passwords. Completely safe.

What if my homepage is a mess?

Then you'll get a lot out of this. I've been doing this twenty years and I've never opened a homepage I couldn't find something good to say about. I'll also tell you the truth, because a nice review you can't act on is just worthless.

Is this just going to be a sales pitch for your services?

No, you get the review you paid for. At the end I'll say a sentence or two about what I'd do next if it were mine, and then it's yours to do what you want with. But, if you do want my help, I won't say no!

I only take 5 a week.

I want to make sure each one gets real attention, not a rushed skim. I'm not using AI, you deserve a real human. Sold out? Check back next month. I'm selling per week, you can expect your report within the week you purchase.

Hi, I'm Stephanie

I’ve been building websites for women running small, service-based business for over twenty years, and I’ve seen some things.

It’s not necessary to burn your homepage down and start over. Most pages are three small edits away from working a lot harder than they currently do. Finding those three on your own is the challenge.

What readers are saying

From people who actually used it

I’d been meaning to start my blog for two years. The checklist and calendar finally made it happen, I published my first post within a week. It felt so much more doable than I expected.

The blog topic guide alone was worth it. I had 30 ideas in front of me before I even opened a blank document. That mental blog I’d had for months? Gone.
